Rules for participating in L4K Summer Reading Club…

-Starts June 1st and ends July 31st. Hours read before June 1st will not be counted.

-Must show evidence of hours read by journals or SRC reading records

-Parents must add hours together and send it to me (I’m bad at math!).

-You can start at any point between June 1st and July 31st.

-Reading that counts: reading alone, reading to a sibling, parents reading to kiddos, listening to audiobooks. (*Reading aloud counts as one unit. Ex: if parents are reading to four children for one hour, it counts as one hour, not four hours).

-This is on the honor system so please be honest.

-No exceptions, I have to have the hours emailed to me by Midnight EST, July 31st.

-Winners will be announced the following week.

AWARDS FOR WINNERS:

-1st place: $30 gift card to Thriftbooks

-2nd place: $20 gift card to Thriftbooks

-3rd place: $15 gift card to Thriftbooks

Again, thank you so much for your lists! We've picked out way too many bad books.

My 5th grade daughter reads a book per day on average, and I cannot thank you enough for your work. I certainly don't have time to endlessly research which books at the library are edifying (or at least appropriate) and this list has been a wonderful resource to help me keep our holds list constantly full.

Thank you so much!

-Anna Beth

My kids every Monday ask if i have put this week's books on hold yet, and then ask every day if the books have come into the library and if we can pick them up. i have one avid reader, who i have thankfully been able to finally keep his very active reading mind occupied with good literature because of the lists each week. I have a reader with dyslexia who has started to enjoy reading and getting caught up in a few series because of some books we have found on the lists. i caught him the other day going down the hallway reading and walking at the same time because he didn't want to put the book down-i cried seeing it!

Thank you for helping relieve the stress of library visits and helping supply fresh great reads for the kids!

I have always been a reader. Ever since I was a small child, I gravitated toward books. It made sense for me to begin a career in libraries. After noticing the ideologies infiltrating children's literature, I began to take note of the books that align with God's design for our lives and his creation. And that's when the idea for Library 4 Littles was born!

I'm so excited to serve your family with these booklists. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me at: [email protected]

Again, welcome!
